Bio :- Luke Peterson first picked up a disposable panoramic film camera at the tender age of eight – on a trip to Tasmania with his family. He pursued his passion for photography throughout high school, and at eighteen years of age he landed himself the sought after position of assistant to Ken Duncan. After spending three years working alongside one of Australia’s best, Luke is now emerging as a top young talent in the photographic industry. Luke loves to experiment with a range of mediums and cameras, including larger format film, medium format and standard digital mediums. However he prefers to shoot on medium and large format film because of its unparalleled detail, large image size and rich saturation. Luke has won a number of awards including a Silver and Bronze Award in Australia’s Better Photography Magazine competition, Silver and two Bronze in International Loupe Awards, Grand Prize Winner Macquarie Photography Prize and Finalist in Capture Magazine’s Top Emerging Photograpers 2013. Luke has also been published in the book “Coastal Paradise Revealed” and has worked on assignment for World Vision and featured as one of only four photographers in World Visions ” Vision of Hope: Mother and Child”.
