Itinerary

 
We’ll meet on Friday night at the friendly Mantra Resort for a meet and greet and then get together again before dawn the next morning where we’ll kick the workshop off with our first sunrise shoot down the coast from where we’ll be staying. We’ll then shoot on at least three more separate occasions during sunrise and sunset and taking in Hopetoun Falls, Beauchamp Falls, Loch Arch Gorge and Gibson Steps. Rest assured knowing that your photography tutors have a wealth of experience from the region and so you’ll only be shooting the region’s most stunning locations.

Day 1 (Saturday):
• Sunrise shoot at Lorne with personalised one-on-one guidance by each photographer

We’ll meet on Friday night at the well-equipped Margarets Beach Resort for a meet and greet and then get together again before dawn the next morning where we’ll kick the workshop off with our first sunrise shoot nearby at the mouth of Margaret River. We’ll shoot on at least three occasions during sunrise and sunset where we’ll promise to capture the most stunning scenery in the surrounding region. Itinerary

 
After meeting-up the night before for a meet and greet (details to be provided), we’ll begin our weekend full of nothing but photography pre-dawn on Saturday where we’ll photograph the popular Norman Bay Beach and surrounding Tidal River. There’ll then be at least another three separate shooting sessions which will take in the stunning stretches of coastline at Squeaky Beach and Whisky Bay as well as shooting the grass tress overlooking the granite peaks along the Lilly Pilly trail. The following is the suggested Itinerary staring from dawn on day 1:

We’ll meet on Friday night at the Eurong Beach Resort for a meet and greet and then get together again before dawn the next morning where we’ll kick the workshop off with our first sunrise shoot. We’ll then shoot on at least three more separate occasions during sunrise and sunset and taking in as many of the following locations as possible: Indian Head, Waddy Point, Wanggoolba Creek and surrounding rainforest, Maheno Ship Wreck, Lake McKenzie and the abundance of sand dunes there is on the island. All Workshop Tours run for two full days typically over a weekend.

The Daintree World Heritage Listed rainforest takes centre stage in this wet tropics workshop. We’ll base ourselves from Port Douglas and visit the famous Mossman Gorge and sections of the scenic Captain Cook Drive. Led by Luke Austin and Phillip Norman you’ll learn everything they know in just over two information filled days! You’ll receive personalised one-on-one hands-on tuition on location whilst you shoot every day at sunrise and sunset and learn all the techniques you’ll need to start producing images with wow appeal in between! Nothing will be held back!

The Port Douglas workshop tour includes the following:

Who is This For

Soon after you book a workshop we will be in touch over the phone to discuss your goals and experience level in detail so that we can tailor the workshop to our small number of participants’ individual requirements. Generally this workshop tour is suited for those who have some experience behind the camera and want to take their photographs from just average to a level beyond they think they were capable of after only just 2 days! We cater and accommodate to levels from experienced beginner right-up to advanced amateur level. Having a maximum of five participants to each photographer allows us to target to a varying number of skill levels! So if this sounds like you and a holiday and experience to Tropical North Queensland is something that has always evaded you then this is the workshop for you!

Itinerary

 
We’ll meet on Friday night at the Peppers Beach Club Resort for a meet and greet and then get together again super early the next morning to shoot locally at the 4 Mile Beach that resort backs onto. We’ll then shoot on at least three more separate occasions during sunrise and sunset at either Mossman Gorge or at various locations along the nearby Captain Cook Drive. The following is the suggested Itinerary staring from dawn on day 1:

Day 1 (Saturday):
• Sunrise shoot at 4 Mile Beach with personalised one-on-one guidance by each photographer
• Breakfast
• Introduction to your tutors
• Research/Planning, visualisation, composition and working with light
• Lunch
• Camera fundamentals, capture techniques, focusing techniques and use of filters
• Mossmon Gorge and surrounding area for a sunset shoot with personalised one-on-one guidance from each photographer
• Dinner


Day 2 (Sunday):
• Sunrise shoot along Captain Cook Drive with personalised one-on-one guidance by each photographer
• Breakfast
• Critique of images from sunset and sunrise Shoot
• RAW Conversion workflow
• Lunch
• Stitching and Photoshop workflow, techniques and tricks
• Afternoon tea
• Print and web display preparation
• Sunset shoot in Daintree Rainforest with personalised one-on-one guidance by each photographer

We’ll meet on Friday night at the RACV Resort for a meet and greet and then get together again before dawn the next morning where we’ll kick the workshop off with our first sunrise shoot the Noosa Heads National Park. We’ll then shoot on at least three more separate occasions during sunrise and sunset and taking in Dickey Beach to photograph the SS Dickey Wreck, Point Cartwright and Gardener\\\'s Falls. Rest assured knowing that your photography tutors have a wealth of experience from the region and so you’ll only be shooting the region’s most stunning locations.
